Is FON+ open enrollment or application-based?
Both, depending on how you'll use it. The media side (premium articles, full archive, video, surveys, monthly Memo) is open to any verified email — apply and you're in. The network side (member directory + warm introductions + in-person events) is by application — we vet every principal-track applicant to keep the directory and event quality high. Most members use both.
How is membership priced?
Three annual tiers. Basic ($1,495) is the media membership — the full archive, premium articles, the magazine, the newsletters, and the Monthly Statistics Memo. Premium ($4,995) adds the private layer: the member directory, warm peer introductions, and members-only events. Corporate (from $20,000) is for firms partnering with the network — multiple seats, sponsorship and advertising across the newsletters and magazine, and private events, scoped by inquiry. Premium is priced where one good peer introduction or one whitepaper applied to a portfolio decision pays for the year many times over — far less than a Bloomberg Terminal seat.
How does the member directory work?
Once approved, you set your own visibility per field — you can be searchable as "Principal · Single-Family Office · NYC" without revealing the family name. You can DM other members directly, or — more commonly — request an editorial-team-facilitated warm introduction. We do typically one or two intros per quarter, per member, hand-picked for fit.
Is my data shared or sold?
Never. Subscriber data is never sold or shared, and the FON+ member roster is private — visible only to other approved members, with the privacy controls described above. Editorial sources are protected per our published Editorial Standards.
Team or multi-seat pricing for our office?
Yes — Corporate memberships (from \$20,000) bundle multiple seats for family offices, advisory firms, and asset managers, and smaller multi-seat arrangements are available too. Tell us your team size and we'll put together a quote.
Is FON+ tax-deductible?
For most U.S.-based subscribers using FON+ professionally, FON+ qualifies as a research / publication expense and is deductible. We provide annual receipts on request. Confirm with your tax advisor.
What if I'm not a family-office principal?
FON+ is open to family-office staff (CIO, CFO, operating partners), single HNW individuals, and the firms that serve our community (advisors, GPs, allocators). The member directory denotes role, so principals can see who they're talking to. Apply and our team will route you to the right onboarding.
I'm a company looking to raise capital — can FON+ help?
FON+ is a membership and network — not a broker-dealer or placement agent — so we don't raise capital or solicit investment on anyone's behalf. What membership gives you is proximity: a searchable member directory, members-only events where principals and allocators are in the room, and, for firms that want a formal presence, a Corporate membership with sponsorship, advertising, and the option to host a private event or webinar. Members use those channels to build the relationships that lead to conversations — the diligence and any transaction happen directly between the parties. If raising capital is your main goal, Corporate membership is usually the better fit than an individual tier; talk to us and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a match.
I'm a family office looking to co-invest with other family offices — does FON help?
Yes — it's one of the most common reasons principals join. The member directory lets you find peers by mandate, geography, and asset class, and request warm, editorial-facilitated introductions to families active in the same space. The members-only receptions, dinners, and the Annual Summit are built for exactly this kind of peer-to-peer relationship-building, where club deals and co-investments tend to begin. FON+ provides the introductions and the room; the diligence and the deal stay directly between you and the other family office.
I'm a service provider — does FON make sense for me?
It can, with the right expectations. FON+ is principal-first: the directory and events are designed so family offices always know who they're speaking with, and service providers are a smaller, clearly-denoted part of the community. If you serve the family-office world — legal, tax, wealth management, insurance, advisory — membership gives you visibility and access, and Corporate membership adds sponsorship, advertising across the newsletters and magazine, and the ability to host events. We deliberately keep the provider-to-principal ratio low to protect the experience, so we'll have a candid conversation about fit before you join.
Is FON a good fit for private aviation, art, or real estate?
Yes — luxury and passion assets are central to the community. A large share of members own or are actively acquiring private aviation, art, yachts, and real estate, and our FON Luxury newsletter, the magazine, and the marketplace all cover these categories closely. If you're a member buying or holding these assets, you're among peers; if you're a brand or advisor in aviation, art, or real estate looking to reach this audience, Corporate membership with advertising and sponsorship is the natural route.
What kinds of events have you hosted?
FON runs an invitation-only calendar across the US and select international cities — the Annual Summit (recently at The Pierre in New York), the East Hampton Reception, a Polo Tailgate in Wellington, and private salon dinners in cities such as Geneva, Tel Aviv, and Dubai, alongside webinars and roundtables through the year. Formats range from intimate principal-only dinners to larger receptions and panels. FON+ members receive priority application and reduced caps, and some events are members-only.
I want to meet family offices — is FON+ the best way?
If your goal is to meet family-office principals, FON+ is one of the most direct routes there is — it's precisely what the membership is built for. The directory is principals-first and searchable, our editorial team makes warm introductions rather than leaving you to cold outreach, and the members-only events put you in the room with principals and their advisors. Whether it's the "best" way depends on who you are: principals and their peers get the fullest access on the Premium tier, while firms selling into the family-office world are usually a better fit for Corporate membership. Tell us which you are and we'll point you to the right tier.
