Terms of Service

The agreement that governs your use of FON.

Welcome to Family Office Networks (“FON,” “we,” “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of fon.network and our newsletters, content, FON+ membership, surveys, and events (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. The Services are intended for family-office principals, professionals, and the firms that serve them.

2. Accounts & membership

Public content — articles, newsletters, public video, and event invitations — is available to everyone without an account.
FON+ membership is a paid, application-based membership that unlocks the private member directory, full archive, surveys, and members-only programming.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials confidential.
We may review, approve, decline, or revoke membership applications to maintain the quality and integrity of the network.

3. Billing, renewals & cancellation

FON+ is billed annually at the tier price shown when you apply — memberships start at $1,495/year, with Premium and Corporate tiers above it. Applicable taxes may apply.
Unless cancelled, memberships renew automatically each year at the then-current rate; we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of upcoming renewals.
You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard. [Confirm your refund policy here — e.g., prorated refunds on request.]
Payments are processed by our payment provider; by purchasing, you authorize the applicable charges.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Misuse, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or other members’ data.
Resell, redistribute, or republish our content, the member directory, or research without permission.
Use the network to send unsolicited solicitations or to harass other members.
Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or interfere with the operation or security of the Services.

5. Member directory & conduct

The FON+ member directory and introductions are provided for members’ professional use only. Information about other members is confidential and may not be copied, exported, or used for marketing without consent.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including articles, the magazine, video, data, logos, and design, are owned by FON or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access the Services for your own use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Submissions & user content

If you submit articles, comments, survey responses, or other content, you grant FON a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, and publish that content in connection with the Services. You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit.

8. Third-party links & services

The Services may link to or embed third-party content (e.g., YouTube, SmugMug galleries, our payment provider). We are not responsible for third-party sites or services, which are governed by their own terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Services and all content are provided “as is” for general informational purposes and do not constitute financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Services, and disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. You are responsible for your own decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FON and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold FON harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections intended to survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your governing state/country], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [venue], unless otherwise required by law.

14. Changes to these Terms
